A world away in the Redlands
Pronounced "GREE-OH", referring to both the beloved fried pork dish and the griot-- story-teller, village historian of African civilizations. Griyo Village is a family owned and operated farm committed to sharing with the public an eco-friendly and wholesome agricultural life style while honoring our Haitian heritage. We are not a restaurant; however, every event on our calendar is catered by our culinary partner. Griyo is always served. We are interested in engaging with people about healing, natural foods and creating creative outlets . We are only open for scheduled workshops and events.
We offer a glimpse into the rich Haitian culture as relates to agriculture. Haitians have been and continue to be an integral part of the Homestead/Redlands agricultural life. Come hear the echoes and feel the rhythm of this dynamic culture.
